These are horrifying times. I am grateful that there are still organic farmers out there who care and are willing to express their deep feelings on the subject. So thank you for that.

So sad to see this casually done. I-35 between Ames and Ankeny is being widened, taking huge swaths of land and wildlife habitat. And a homebuilder spent all summer and fall last year to reconstruct what once was a flat cornfield into swales and small rises for an exclusive subdivision. Sickening.

Your words are pure fire. Truth. Passion. Compassion. Protection. The fire that fights fire. My prayer and my belief is that you will find the words to speak to your neighbor. To all your neighbors. And that you keep speaking protection and it dominates and it seeps into all others. And that all others follow in speaking protection. Including me—that I also keep up the courage to keep following in your footsteps.
